I think you know my views on Sony already, so no need for me to tell you which I'd have if it were me ;)

But I prefer the X-Box for the 4 controller ports, built-in adapter to play online (via broadband) with better online support, and a built in 8GB hard drive (so no need to ever buy memory cards, plus you can save replays, download new cars/maps etc and also copy your own CD's to it so you can listen to them in game without swapping discs).

Plus its more likely to be reliable than the PS2, you can remember the horror stories about the disc tray/lens. I just know I'd be happier with the X-Box :)

Said you would win a PS2.....well done :)

I am not an expert on these things, so I asked Dylan the game guru.

He says get the PS2 xos X-Box is rubbish (his words not mine), but if its one of the new X-Boxes on offer (the 360) then go for that.

You have been told ;)

Well the 360's not out until the end of the year, so it wont be that :)

I like his reasoning for his desicison though heh ;)

That's 9 year olds for you. He got the new Star Wars game on Saturday afternoon, finished it yesterday evening

If I were you S, I would take the PS2. Personal preference really.

Heh, know what you mean. Henry's the same, he's only 7 and its a case of "what I say goes, because I said so" :)

As for the Star Wars game, if its Lego Star Wars, I take my hat off to him, because it took two of my friends a total of 5 hours flat-out just to complete the first two 'Episodes' between them (playing as co-operative at the same time).

D, it was Revenge of The Sith.

Sarah, one thing I do like about the PS2 (and it's not really related to the machine itself, though it is indirectly  ) is that all the PS1 games can also be played on it. SO if the bunnies (or yourself) have loads of the older games knocking about then you can still play them :kid:

It was the hard drive thingy that made my mind up (thanks D :) :) ) so in the end i had the console, extra controller plus the sims (for me ;)) and Area 51 (for Ian) so a really nice prize all in all. Just need a ps2 for Sam now :)

well done bunny, good choice ;)

Nicks got a point about the PS1 games, but the good thing is that all 3 next-gen ones will be backwards compatibile (we think) we this generation, so you can keep all your PS1, PS2, Gamecube and XBox games to use in the relevant next-gen machine (hopefully).

Shame about you not having the Gamecube any more tho Sarah :( (from another thread)
