Does anyone know anything about the charges for x-network minutes it was on the news ages ago and nothing has happened! just wondering if that was a rumor or if it was actually going to happen? :conf:
We saw some news on this a while back available here (http://www.funfonechat.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=107) but I haven't heard any more I'm afraid.

it's a gradual process. the government have been nagging the networks to do it forever, and although they dropped by like 5p/minute, they don't have to offically drop it by alot for a couple of years yet :(
that's what i heard. there is a deadline, i've a feeling it's april next year. but i'm not sure.
there are going to be some big changes though. that's why the prices have all gone up recently, they're milking it while they can!!!

yeah, and the other problem is that all the handset prices will rise (again!) for them to compensate on the loss :(

Hi Guys,
This is my first post so be nice.
The actual Oftel ruling was to reduce the termination charge. For example if a Vodafone customer calls 02 then 02 charge Vodafone a termination charge. The Oftel ruling is to reduce this termination charge. This means that the Vodafone network will be charged less for their customers calling 02 however this saving is unlikely to be passed on to us customers as it is cancelled out as Vodafone have to reduce the charge they levy against 02 for 02 customers who call Vodafone.
In short it’s a pointless exercise that in the end just balances the books
