Hello....Couple questions I'm unsure about,I have been looking on eBay for a 6680,the thing is 95% of them seem to be locked on the 3 network.I have heard you can't unlock the 3 network to ALL networks,is this true?
Also can you get free wap with the 6680,like you can with a 6600 useing port proxy settings with an o2 sim, thanks for any feedback Jessica
Welcome to the forum Jess.
I know the 6630 is not unlockable, and am looking to see if the 6680 is in the same situation as well. However, if the 6680 IS, then all the software on the phone would still be '3' and unless you can get the phone firmware updated then you might (and i say MIGHT) still be stuck with all the restrictions that 3 place upon their phones.
Apparently the 6680 is in the same boat as the 6630. Un-unlockable.

I better make sure I get one on voda then,I don't know why they all seem to be on the 3 network! Any ideas if I can get free wap on this phone with the port proxy settings like you can with the 6600?
Even if you get it on Voda, you still won't be able to unlock it.
WAP browsing on the VodaLive portal is free, but you pay if you go onto a site that isn't on there (so if you tried to log onto, say, the O2 Active site, you would be charged. As for getting free WAP by changing the port proxies I wouldn't be able to tell you for definite. I guess it would be possible.....

Oh yeah I didn't think of that, seems silly you can't buy the phone so it is open to all networks x
It can be bought simfree...... cheapest I saw on a search was £360

this may sound silly but if it is sim free, does it mean it is open to any sim you put in it then?
