go to www.o2.co.uk
follow the link on the left hand side of the page for either wap or o2 active.....look for the links for how to enable wap, insert your phone number and they will send you a service message which you save and you should be up and running.
This is what i did and everything works ok.

You will have to contact o2 and ask them to enable you phone number for GPRS.

Or send them an e-mail asking them. Don't forget to include your phone number.

They should do this within 48 hours.

ahh ok, then wap should work. So do you have an email i can contact them on? I also have another question.

If i have a data cable with capabilities of putting ringtones onto my phone wiv, what file type should i download them as?

they should be .mid or .midi orignally, but you'll need to use Nokia Data Suite (availible from Nokia's website under the Support section) to convert them to SPMIDI files. And because the 6100 only supports 4-tones at a time, you'll need to use the software to play about with them and pick the 4 most prominent tones to add to the file. It sounds complicated, and it is at first, but once you get the hang on it it's not too bad :)

Nokia Suite only works with the Nokia DKU-5 USB cable, it will NOT work with an aftermarket data cable.

LOL That disc looks a bit dodgy...dot matrix printer

No, all I was saying was that Nokia Data Suite won't work with that type of cable.

It should work with that disk. But Nokia being Nokia design their software to work only with their cable.

There are two other software programs that will work with that cable - MobiMB and Oxygen Phone Manager. Both can be downloaded from their respective websites but DEMO VERSIONS ONLY!!!!!!!!

HOWEVER

There are CRACKED versions about, and although I DO NOT SUPPORT cracked versions of demo software (cos the developer has put all the hard work in and get sod all back for it) I thought I'd mention them. I've heard they're about on certain YAHOO groups. But cracked software could harm your phone.

I doubt i will be using any cracked software as its illegal. I know the disk looks dodgey but it was only £2 off ebay so im not too bothered. I hope the cd provides all the software needed. Thanx for the feedback.

You were right. The software i got with the cd works oxygen, and mobiMB Mobile media but for some reason the actual data cable doesnt work and its not gettin detected. Maybe its somethng to do with my ports? Im using windows XP so maybe thats the problem. any help would be greatly appretitated thanx.
