broken screen help wanted

This is all new to me so I'll tread carefully
Got a nokia something or other ! phone's on the way back from Spain with some lost luggage, its about 18 months old & the screens cracked. I'm with Vodaphone on a
200min cross network £ 30 p/m contract. I'm now using the phone less & less so couple of questions (I don't need 'whistles & bells')
1) Can I take the sim card & just get an old phone and carry on.
2) By taking an upgrade am I entering into another contract.
3) Bearing in mind my usage can I take my old number & transfer it to pay as you go

1....as long as the new phone is unlocked or on the voda network then yes, you will still be paying the same bill.

2....you are yes, normally a year.

3.....yes you can, as far as im aware you have to phone voda and ask for a pac code i think (D or nick will know more about this)

You can't always transfer a number between contract & PAYG if they are both on the same network. Best to check with Vodafone on this.
