Hi guys,
I am newbie here. I was just wondering if any of u have any ideas about this XDA IIs from O2. You See I am currently using nokia 6230 with vodafone but its quite costly. I heard from someone that O2 is equally good. I wanna try them out, at the same time I want a phone with camera and PDA like features like XDA IIs. I saw n their website ( O2) that it cost around £176 plus the montly tariff of £20. But I am having second thoughts about it and I was wondering one of you guys can help me sort this thing out.
Thanks and more power.

Do you really need the PDA features?????

They are bulky compared to your 6230.

Maybe a symbian phone may be of more use. You can add applications to the memory card in the phone, and you can get pretty much the same stuff that an XDA has on the card.

O2 have just started doing the 6680 on their website. I recall seeing the price on there as being £69.99 on a £30/month contract, but there are better deals available I am sure.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Ya....I know its quite bulky but i need a phone which I can load up a tom tom navigation software plus I need to uplload some PDF files. I need to keep them handy and with me always, instead of having laptop with me always coz I am always on the move.
But is O2 XDA IIs quite reliable? I f you have some experiences in using this paritcular model please tell me, so I can finally decide to buy i t or not.
Thanks once again.

Its a great phone, my Dad has one, and he now swears by it, he hasn't regretted it at all.

The only thing is, when you get it, your best bet it to de-activate the O2 Active setting for the O2 Active desktop, which is an additional piece of software on the phone that displays 'helpful' info such as new upcoming appointments, the weather, and all kinds of stuff thats not usually nessecary.

So long as you de-activate that, or delete the file for it (a quick Google should point you in the right direction) then you shouldn't have any software problems with it. SImply because before my Dad did that, it kept locking up and rebooting, but since he deleted just the one file, he's literally had no problems (touch wood).

You can use TomTom on any symbian nokia (3650,6600,6630,6670,6680,7610). ANd you can also view .pdf documents on them as well.

I have an xda2 and was wondering how the GPS systems work with the phone, and which is the best system. I have had a search around and cannot find much detail?
