The nokia 8910 is a great phone, except for one little problem.
When i recieve a call and the phone is closed (not turned off) there is no way to silence the phone without opening it first which results in answering the call. In all other nokia models (which i have come across) there is an option to silence the phone and the caller thinks that you are unable to answer.

Does anyone know if there is a function or a way to disable answering a call when the phone is opened.

thanks

There may be an option in the phone to not answer the call on opening, I know there is on most flip phones.

thats the problem, it's a sort of hybrid design. Seeing as Nokia dont make clamshell phones, they've got no experiance in auto-answer. As a result, they've just thrown the old standard 30 series layout in there, with no customisation for auto-answer. I'm familiar with this phone, but not every square inch, due to it's rarity. I think there is a volume button on the side if i'm correct. Now, i dont know if this will work or not, but on my Samsung T100, pressing and holding one of the volume keys rejected the call, so I wonder if this might do the same. Or check the manual for 'rejecting a call'.
