View Full Version : T68i
Just came across this on the orange site and was wondering if anyone thinks this is a good price for this handset?

god yes! the cheapest i've seen on pay & go is on t-mobile for £89.99, so thats an excellent price. Not the worlds most advanced phone when you compare it to whats availible today, but an excellent phone for that price :)
That's a real bargain.
Think I'll sell my 6100 and get one of those.

no Nick, dont do it!
Your 6100 is better than the T68i anyway (i get the sense of impending doom now, as i'm going to get pelted with flame posts from the mass of Sony Ericsson fans we now have.....).
But it is tho, the SE only has a 256 colour screen and the 6100 has 4096, plus got knows how many other features.
Yes, i know the SE has bluetooth, but would you actualy use it?

I agree with you in a way Daedalus, I used to have a T68i (for about 2 days before I swapped it for a Samsung T100) and I did like the phone but there was something missing which I couldn't put my finger on it.
I reckon I would use Bluetooth cos I use my phone a lot while I'm driving about and I don't get on that well with the Nokia Hands Free kit.
I have taken your comments on board and will seriously think it over (but for £49.99.... could get £150 for my phone).
BTW, the flames and guns at the top... a taste of things to come:) :) :)
I just checked back on the orange site and the T68i is back up to £99.99. Maybe they made a mistake putting the price so low?

probably, many websites do it by accident. The thing is, if you buy it when it's still at that price, they legally HAVE to provide it to you at that price :)
So if you'd bought one, they'd loose out on £50 :)

Not true!!
The Mobile Republic had the Siemens ST55 on their website for £0.
I tried to order one and they sent an e-mail saying that it was an error and that they did not have to supply at that price....
Thank you for contacting us. Please note that the cost of Siemens ST55 and Siemens M55 is not £0. We are aware of this technical error. Our IT team is working on this and the website will be updated shortly with correct price. We apologise for any inconvenience.

lol, yeah, but that was an exception, plus it was £0, so it prolly would'nt get processed anyway.
If it's a site where you can purchase an item without having to e-mail them then you can buy it and it will just add it to your basket at that price. A couple of years ago, i could have got a Pokemon shaped N64 from Toys 'R Us website for £34.99 instead of £89.99 :)
From what I gather though, Orange are going to honour any orders at that price.
Bet they run out of stock........
Wouldn't want to be the person that made the typing error...:hammer: :hammer: :chain:
Wouldn't want the phone either.....worst screen from SE I've seen.
