i have a Traxxas Rustler, which was going fine until my brother (who's much better with them than me) decided to fiddle with my motor to try and fix it, but now it's f**ked completely and i've got to spend another £30-odd for a new one :/
By the way everyone, Azza means the decent, over-£100 hobby-class cars, not the crappy Tyco or Tamiya cars you get from Argos for kids
These cars reach speeds of up to 60mph (the electric ones anyway, the nitro [petrol] ones can reach much higher speeds), so their the real deal :)
Mine was about £150 just on it's own, no charger or battery or anything.

yeh thanks for that intro daedalus, i have a traxxas stampede which is the monster truck version of daedalus's traxass rustler, mine was an ex display model and is cost me 100 pounds and i have since spent another 110 pounds on making it better and faster.:)

daedelus aint lying! but he is exagerating cause to make an electric motor radio controlled car reach 60mph you've gotta spend a bit more than £100 on it!

yeh like a brushless system or a better speed controller but i see what he is talking about, if they have alot of good parts etc, it would go that fast!
:)

true, but i never said you could get it to go 60mph with a standard £150 car, you've got to spend a fair bit on top of that (i.e. £250) to get it that fast.

  I have just started on the R/C Car hobby and brought my first car from a company called Guerrilla, Gizmos.uk They sent the wrong car, it is damaged and has no battery or charger. They wont accept they sent the wrong car, have been rude refuse to help and I have reported them to the Office of Fair Trading and am now in the process of starting a County Court action to recover my money paid. Not a good start to this hobby. Has anyone else had problems with this company? They go under the name of Guerrilla or Gizmos.uk.
I would certainly advise against anyone using them. Some feedback on a good company to use would be helpful.
