I cannot access my data folder on my pc

i have a GD87e and have data cable etc and the standard edit tool software but although i can access change schedule/numbers etc on my phone via my pc i cannot access my data folder so i cannot upload pics from my phone to the comp etc, i have tried another handset manager and it says the multi-media is not suported by my phone? odd.. and when i try with the proper software the bit where the comp comunicates with the phone is over and done within the blink of an eye and it doesn't tell me anything either bad or good, bit like it is firewalled eccept it can't be?
