7250i Normal Ring Tone???

I have just bought a Nokia 7250i, nice phone but a bizarre selection of ringtones! They are all tunes and melodies, does anyone know where I can get just a normal 'ring ring' or 'low' type ringtone for it?

yes, intead of opening the gallery, go to the profiles, choose your normal profile and go to ringtones, then select Intro, Mosquito or Nokia Tune.

Have done that already! I do not have Intro or Mosquito, and Nokia Tune is embarrassing, all I want is my telephone to sound like a telephone.

There is a Ring-Ring tone in there, but it is still polyphonic.

I'm thinking it is too much to ask though. I'm not overly keen on p-phonic tones as i think the early ones (Sony J70) sound like an Ice-cream van!!!

Are you musical??? Any talent in that area???

You could do your own with a data cable and some free software. Either make up your own tune, or create a copy of your fav tune or soundtrack!!!!!!

there are'nt any standard ring ring tones in there that are poly phonic, i know that much.
And you've gone completely past what he asked for. He wants a simple ring ring and your suggesting he makes his own 'musical' tone or copy one from a soundtrack. I'd think before I type if i were you.

Correct, there is no Ring Ring tone on the phone, polyphonic or otherwise, but that is what I want....I wonder if I email Nokia they will be able to help?

There are several hundred ringtones availible for that phone, but because of it's target audience (17-28 ish) then they have chosen funky and interesting ringtones and graphics that stand out and are 'trendy'. This phone in particular is not really designed for business or 'serious' use, which explains the choice of ringtones/wallpapers and the phones design.
If you hunt the 'net for a standard telephone or 'ring ring' .midi file then you might have some luck, but their then pretty hard to convert to the right scale.
Anyway, does your 7250i have the poly tone 'Do-Mi-So'? If not, i've attached it to this post. It's a fairly simple tone and not far off the standard ring ring.
