View Full Version : T-Mobile Switching
The more legitimate way to unlocking your phone, getting the network to do it. Virgin say to switch to them it costs £10 but current network may charge.
I want a Motorola V300 but its only on T-Mobile, now does anyone know if they'd charge (and I cant ask them as I dont have a phone yet) to switch back to Virgin. If so how much?
As always, thanks.
Best I reckon to get the V300 unlocked and then stick the Virgin simcard in it.
I know of someone on another forum who can remotely unlock Motorola phones but not sure if that includes the V300....
Oh, and it costs £8.
Place in town does it for £10, prefer that as its more personal. I will ask them tomorrow if they will do it, hopefully they wont say "Need to look at the phone first"

When i worked for OneTel, a new customer wanted their T-mobile unlocking and their customer services charged her £63!!!!!
It varies, but at the end of the day, all you need is a code.
Or, if you get down to http://www.techgsm.com, you can buy unlocking kits for all types of phones. the Nokia DCT-4 box looks interesting.
can't you just use remote unlocking? its miles easier.

easier said than done.
It can't be done for all phones yet, so sometimes cable unlocking is the only answer.
