View Full Version : Worlds Most Dangerous Jobs
According to HBO, where the world is only the USA, the most dangerous job is Smoke Jumper. That is a person who parachutes into remote areas to fight fires.
Any others you can think of..

Aparantly crab fisherman have a very volatile job as the crabs are only found in freezing artic conditions..lots of deaths...therefore very expensive to buy.....
Also on the subject of it the Fire Fighters who worked in the Gulf from America to put out the oil wells that were set alight earned $800 a day which lasted 9 months......... apparantly due to the risk of the job...which I can believe dodging land mines etc trying to put out a 300ft inferno of gushing hot oil.....however there were no casualties after nine months.

There was a film out ages ago about guys who put out oil well fires. :pissed: I think there was a big name in it. I believe I enjoyed it, but I can’t remember what it was called.

A few of the guys at the Hutchison 3G office have taken comms jobs in Iraq. £500 per day tax free!!!!!
They are rebuilding the networks and infrastructure.
I heard yesterday that being a River Fisherman is one of the most dangerous jobs./pastimes...aparently rat wee is deadly and there's lots of it by the river banks....that'll teach them to wash their hands before they eat that poor fish :)
