It's A FLip Up Phone Which Makes It All The More Cooler!
Similar To Samsung Mobiles.
I Found A Site Where I Can Get Free Ringtones For IT Too!
Which Helps Because It's Compatibility Aint That Good :(
It' Got a 180° Swivel Camera Which Rox!

I was Wondering though! Can you send The pictures you take with The Camera As An E-m@il????

Specs aren't easy to get hold of for this one but here goes:-

like i've said before, you can do MUCH better for the same money (cough, Sony Ericsson T610, cough ;) ).
It's not that great, it feels pretty flimsy and the camera/screen are'nt the worlds best really.
Plus it's a flip phone, which in my books makes it even worse.

yeah, but you've played with it for just an hour and you've got nothing to compare it to. If it was the only one on the market offering those features at that price, then yes i'd be good for the money, but it's not the only phone availible at that price and other similary priced phones are better.

Sorry, that was a bit harsh. First impressions count with a phone. You go into a shop, play with a dummy phone and mainly base your decision on that. Then when you finally get it home you play about with it and discover all the features.

From what I have seen and read, the X1 is pretty similar to the Samsung V200. I think the guy will be well pleased with it. It's not got a 'name' but so what?? Brand names aren't all they're meant to be.

@ O2X1 - Let us have a review of the phone after Xmas. And find out the mAh figure cos bart is DYING to know what it is.

Without reading the manual I'm not too sure Ryan.

My T610 has an e-mail thing on it using a POP3 account but can't be arsed with that. Too complicated and no use to me anyway as I very rarely do the e-mail stuff. I just use the O2 Active E-Mail thing on the WAP if I need to. You have to register with O2 first on their website (www.o2.co.uk) but thats a very quick thing.

Like i've said before, for the third time, the alternatives are'nt 'fancy expensive' phones as you put it, the T610 is on pay and go for as little as £159.99 and free on most contracts. Good for you if it's what you want, thats your opinion, and I was giving mine. I'm just saying if it was me (and i've had my share of experiance in the past 4 years) and I wanted the best value for money, i'd bet on the SE T610, but hey, like i said it's your choice.

I think it looks quite nice for a flip phone. Keypad looks a bit like the samsungs.
Not sure of battery standby tho seems a bit low?

I have the O2 X1, brought it Friday gone.

The camera is great (much better than my T610) with the camera you can take 10 sec video clips (cant send them, shame). good quality clips if the subject you are shooting slows down a bit.

Ring tones ok, but a bit childish, so downloaded some new ones.

Wallpapers on the phone are poo, but you can use the photos you have taken, you can download some but no one has not even O2 active (nor games or ringingtones, yet)

Games - only to mini golf (better on t610) and jumping bear (a bit of bun)

Wap - very basic look. I use my X1 on orange and o2 (o2 wap is the only one showing colour, yet all other colour phones show colour with orange wap)

MMS - works well although a little slow at times

NO EMAIL

Problems: - switched self off 3 times
froze twice,
and people have been complaining that sometimes they cant hear me (mic cuts out)

These probs are not too bad, speech prob only lasts about 1 or 2 seconds max.

battery life average.


Anything else I missed, just ask

It would appear that this phone CANNOT BE UNLOCKED for use on any network.

But I seem to remember reading that o2 don't lock their phones anyway.

Worth trying another network simcard in it just to make sure.

This is the worst phone!! I had one for a week, it turned itself off.. i replaced it... it turns itself off, deletes downloaded games, you cant delete things from your sim, it says there deleted but shows up when u turn it back on, which is frequent. Sometimes the screen lights dont turn up n the battery is tempremental. Rang o2 n they said theyve had batches and batches back... and have set up a repair line.... but u have to send your phone away for a minimum of 6 weeks for them to repair it. I wouldnt bother wasting your money, the cameras not all that good anyways, really liney and grey. Wap is very very very slow and u can access very little outside fo the o2 portal... unless u want porn!!
I'm going back to my 5 yr old nokia... atleast it cud handle writing a text message at a sensible speed! :mad: :mad: :mad:

The X1 cannot be unlocked at all. Makes sense seeing as it's branded as the O2 X1.

And Nick, all O2 phones are locked on pay as you go, its just the contract ones that are bought from independant chains such as The Link and Carphone Warehouse that are unlocked (except the X1 obviously).

There is also a number to phone but it is £0.50 a minute and you could be on the phone for up to 20 minutes. How did you get your replacement arranged

thats not right i think there were 2 batches of the 02x1 and i think the first was faulty:/
