is it similar in spec to the SX1, or have you gone and gotten something totaly different?
Don't tell us yet, i'm usually spot on at guessing what phones people have :)
Its basically got everything and I went round all the shops today tested loads and decided on this...and I love it....:)
SX1 delayed again and after inspecting some I thought would be good this has outshone them all so far
Next guess :)

Hmm, i could ask what network, but if it's 3 then it's obvious what it is (almost) and if it's Orange I could easily narrow it down more.
Ah hell i'll ask anyway, what network is it on? :)
Vodafone ...getting closer :)

Vodafone? Hmm, thats a dark horse :)
Ok, i'm putting my bets on:
Nokia 6600 (and after all the times you'd said "no, i'd rather wait for the SX1, it's going to be much better" :sot: )
or....
*james does a mental scan of the Vodafone wall at work....*
Sony Ericsson P800??
OR
Motorola MPX200 come to think of it, Carphone warehouse advertise it as being on vodafone too...

I WAS so close! I did'nt think you could get it on Voda yet :)
Anyway, well done man, have fun with it and let us know how you get on with it :)
Will do mate..I'll do some reviews etc.. and upload some photos soon...
I'm off to bed now early start on my phone :)...
Catch you laters..... :big grin:
What happend to the SX1?
did you just get fed up of waiting for it?
Yep I did, and I feel it was a blessing.....I think the SX1 will be very similar to the Nokia 6600, and I spent a lot of time yesterday testing the SE out with the Nokia and the SE won me over.....
I may well get one for nostalgia value when it come out though... :)
:big grin: :big grin: :big grin: i'm very happy you bought that phone, its super! and i'm glad you didn't go with the bad SX1, i would even prefere the 6600 above it, but then again SE phones give you so much :big grin:
btw get your self a 128MB MSD, i got mine yesterday, and now its full of cool MP-4 stuff :shades:
Looks like I was miles out with my guess......
out of interest how much did you pay for it and what contract are you on. So when are you going to put a review of it on the site.
kenny
I ended up doing the following deal....
Went into the shop where is was on sale for 395 so I said to the attendant that it is on their website for £295....so he went away and came back and said that they could match it.....
Then we sat down and went through the phone etc...
I ended up buying the phone on Vodafone £30 a month contract with half price insurance £4.99 a month I bargained from £9.99 a month...also got a free BT headset thrown in worth £75 acording to the mag price and 2 cd's of java games and tones.....:)
And here's the first photo taken with the phone....
I'll do a review after I've had a chance to play around with it...so much to learn the handbook is about 100 pages long and twice the size of a normal handbook...
Another bonus is that the memory stick fits directly into my Sony Vaio pc...although the 32Mb card is already full up with MP3's so I need to get the 128 Mb card.
Still haven't got around to the review yet as I've been v busy updating the forums...as you can see... did manage to reflash my firmware tonight remotely through the SE site
But you've only just got the bloody thing... and you're flashing it already????
I know SE just released a new version :)
I know SE just released a new version :)
They didn't wait long did they??
When you say you did it remotely, did you not have to plug your phone into something?? Only reason I ask is that could I do my T610 the same way?
The process is plug your phone onto the cradle which is attached to the PC and then the website does all the work. So not complete remote wireless but before you had to take to a service center etc...
Check here (http://homeflash.ericsson.net/updateservice/P900/frameset.htm) for details of the P900 section, there may be a T610 option not sure though.
