View Full Version : motorola or ericsson?
Hi all im looking at getting a new phone between £150 - 200. I want to get pay as you go probably on Orange. I've more or less narrowed it down to either
- Motorola V500
or
- Sony ericsson T610
Im leaning towards the T610 however ive read some reviews saying the screen is more or less unuasable in bright light. Your views would be realy usefull right now.
Both phones are more or less the same. They both have bluetooth, polyphonic tones (V500 = 24poly, T610 = 32poly), MMS, camera (the V500 has a better colour resolution).
The V500 is a flip phone and the T610 isn't. Basically, I think the T610 is better but I guess I'm biased as I have one.
As for the colour screen thing, all colour phone screens are hard to use in bright light.
what do you want in your phone? tell us so we can say wich one is the best for you :)
Generally I just want an all purpose phone. Im upgarding from an anciet siemens c25 :bo: so i know very little about the advantages of gbrs, java gaming etc. and wether I want it in a phone or not. that said ill probably mostly use the phone for calls, gaming and possibly some internet browsing.
Oh by the way if you can think of a better phone within that price range that is pay as you go comaptible id like to hear about it.
i think you should go for the T610. the phone is good, we still need to see how the motorola's handly on the market. the phone is stronger then the average phone when you drop it. and i'm sure when you come from a C25 you'll love the T610 meny system :)
Does anyone have personal experience using both phones side-by-side? I'm thinking about getting a T610, but I'm partial to Motorolas (the sound on a v60i is still among the best that I've heard) and I'll wait if the v500 is bettter.
I found The ericsson Software very Slow ,
I think Motorola is better

Which ericcson are you referring to in comparison? I've read that the t68i was extremely slow, but the t610 is better.
