Hi all i'm new here,
Anyhow i'm in the middle of replacing the housing for my Samsung V200, i'm got the whole thing stripped, but the cable that connects the screen to the main board and then to the camera, i'm not sure what to do?!
How does it disconnect?!? any help would be really appreciated?
So any quick replys would be great thank you.. :sot:
I found this on an american website that sells replacement covers for the V200. I don't know how comprehensive the instructions are and there's no mention of any 'cable'. But hope it helps.
Installation Instructions for Samsung SGH-V205 (same as V200) Faceplate
1. The faceplate for the Samsung S105, V205 & S100 is attached by four screws around in the inside LCD screen. For the S105 and S100, those are hidden under round silver color stickers. For the V205, those are hidden under the gray rubber plugs.
2. S105 S100 A520
The stickers can be removed by applying a small pin to the edge of the sticker and turning/rotating the sticker (instead of trying to lift the sticker off, turn it like a steering wheel). Do not attempt to pry under the sticker as that will scratch the phone surface and damage the sticker. The stickers are not on too tight so they will move as you turn it. As you turn the sticker, it will lift off from its hole. Keep the stickers in a good place, you will need to put those back later.
V205
Just dig the rubber plugs out with any sharp point tool.
3. After you have gotten the stickers off, remove the screws with a small Philips (+) screwdriver.
4. A happy note: there are absolutely no internal components attached to the inside of the faceplate so there is little risk of damaging any internal components of the phone while removing the faceplate.
The faceplate is held on by 2 tabs long the side of the faceplate and one at the very bottom. Use your fingernail to gently lift off one edge of the faceplate from the side of the faceplate close to the top of the phone. Do not attempt to use any tools as that may scratch the phone.
5. Now gently slide your fingernail down the side of the faceplate. This will release the tabs along the side of the faceplate. Do the same thing on the other side of the faceplate.
6. Now lift the top of the faceplate up and slide that down a little to release the faceplate from the phone.
7. Now attach your new faceplate by snapping that on and re-attaching the screws. Do NOT over-tighten the screws.
Installation of faceplate should be performed carefully.

Hi asphaltic99
Thanks very much for the reply, i have already got that far but i'm changing the whole housing / facia that is around the buttons and the rest of the fone, was there any more to that text, that you just posted.
As that only covers the screen housing, i'm changing the whole thing and i have these 2 flat (paper thin?) cables i need to pull, but i'm not sure which area to pull them from?
the cables in question connect the main board (under the keypad) to the 2 screens (outside / inside lcd screens) to the camera...
Any help would be really appreciated thanks..
