Can anything be done to the Nokia 6100? I used to do a hell of a lot to my T100 such as changing firmwares etc. but have no idea what I can do to my Nokia (short of changing covers)
Here's a bunch of codes for this phone.... while your at it I have a T100 what sort of things can I do to this phone
NO RESPONSIBILITY IS TAKEN FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR PHONE AS A RESULT OF USING THESE CODES. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THEM YOU ARE ADVISED NOT TO TRY THEM OUT.

*#51x0# or

*#92772689#
Thanks to Ben-Dov for this code
IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) Code:

Enhanced Full Rate (EFR):
*3370# to activate EFR. Makes calls sound better, but decreases battery life by about 5%.
#3370# to deactivate EFR

*#92702689# [*#war0anty#] asks warranty code. You can then type a number of codes (Thanks to Mike Pfaff for these codes):
6232 - Display date of manufacture
7332 - Display date of last repair
7832 - Display purchasing date
9268 - Display serial number
37832 - Set purchasing date to MMYY

#746025625# says SIM CLOCK STOP ALLOWED or similar, depending on your SIM card. Newer SIMs have a feature called 'clock stopping' that allows the phone to save energy -- it is a kind of sleep mode for SIM cards. Not all versions of software support this. You cannot turn the SIM clock on and off, the phone will do it automatically if the SIM supports clock stopping
:D
Will try those out, thanks.
Now for the T100......
There are several different firmwares that can be put on the T100.
-One of them adds an answering machine onto the voice functions menu so that you don't have to call your voicemail.
But mainly the firmwares are to change languages (eg if you have a UK phone but can only read Arabic.
One has also been created to allow you to download new games onto the T100 although I have never tried to do it as you have to dial in to Orange in ISRAEL!!!!
There is also the usual plethora of polyphonic ringtones, and there is a GFX editor program which allows you to change the menu pictures, message tones, start up tones, and even the fonts on the clock (on the front of the phone).
There is also a convertor that lets you convert ordinary MIDI ringtones to polyphonic tones.
(You might want to put these bits in the Samsung forum)
Now I'm not an expert on doing things to the T100; it was purely a case of hit and miss with my phone and luckily I didn't crash it or anything.
Your best bet is to check out the website that I will PM you.
