I've got gotten an e-mail from Club Nokia inviting me buy their HS-C1 camera headset for a very low £49.99 from their shop because i'm a Club Nokia member :)
so if you want a cheap camera and if you registered with Club Nokia (hey, even if your not you can just register and get the deal anyway, even if your phones not a Nokia) then go to www.clubnokia.com (me thinks, not sure tho) and get one. i mean, yes i've seen them for a similar price else where online, but this is an amazing offer from the manufacturer themselves, which is rare :)
What sort of price would you pay for these without the offer mate.
£69.99 in Argos, and anything from £20-£40 on Ebay

average high street price would be about £69.99, typical online price is about £49.99-£59.99, so £49.99 from Nokia themselves is fairly priced.
Hmm im a club nokia member, dunno what email ad its on or anything, just got a credit card like thing through the post one day with my member number on. Anyway, cool price.
Does anyone recommend these cameras? what is the resoloution like or are they just good to use as screensavers or caller group graphics?
Obviously its not as good as a proper digital camera...
I haven't got one but have used one and it's not bad in my opinion.

well, I have a friend who bought O2's own brand camera, which simply cliips onto the bottom, no stupidly long wire like the Nokia one, but he took it back because the quality was crap. He's now got the standard Nokia one and he says it's far better.
However, be warned, these camera's (or any mobile camera for that matter) are'nt meant to be taken too seriously. Their meant for taking quick snaps for storing on the phone or sending to mates. If you want to put them on your computer to have as your background, or you want to print them off, your far better off buying a real digtal camera. The Nokia camera only has an absolute max. resolution of 640x480 with about 8bit colour, and to be honest, if it was me, i'd avoid the whole thing entirely. The screen size of the Nokia's that support the camera is abismal for picture messaging and makes it VERY hard to pick out any detail. The camera is ok if your going to e-mail it or send it to a phone with a larger screen, but as for viewing it on the phone it's really bad. Unless you want to squint at the screen and try to figure out what the hell is going on in the picture then fine. But if it was me, I'd wait a while, wait until you get your next phone in the future and choose one with a better colour screen. I've tried using my 5100 for picture messging (it shares the same screen as the 7210/6610) and it's just not worth it in my opinion.
oh, and by the way, the 7210/6610, 5100, 6100 etc. do not allow you in any way to change the screensaver. So if you were planning to use the pictures for that, sorry, but you cant. You can use them for wallpapers, but thats it really.
