i have a sharp gx10i with a orange sim but need to set up mms settings for orange as the phone is set up for vodaphone.
does anyone have these settings

You don;t say whether you're on contract or PAYG so have included the GPRS WAP settings for both.


MMS Setting (Contract and PAYG)
Profile Name: Orange MMS
Server URL: http://mms.orange.co.uk/
Gateway IP: 192.168.224.010
Bearer Type: GPRS (settings for this below)
APN: orangemms
User Name: Orange
Password: Multimedia
Authentication: Normal

MMS Access Point
Data bearer: GPRS
Access point name: orangemms
User name: Orange
Password: Multimedia
Authentication: Normal

thanks for these settings i put them in but am still having trouble sending photos.
when you press the send button it just says sending but does not send?
could this be because this is a vodaphone phone and not orange?
it is unlocked to all networks.

Did you phone your service provider to get the service activated??
this can take up to 24 hrs to be activated

yes i did i recieved a text message read it and deleted it
there is also a g in the top left corner of the screen now.

if you phoned and asked for it to be activated it can take up 2 24 hrs to activate but you do have to ring it cant be done via there web site

called in the orange shop today and they told me that the phone wont work on orange for photo messaging? :cry:

sounds about right.
Its a Vodafone exclusive phone, and regargless of whether its unlocked or not it still won't work with other networks MMS settings. Sorry mate, either switch to Voda or don't send messages. Thats what happens when you try and convert a phone thats exclusive to one network to work on another.
