how to read "imei "

firstly i would like to say nice forum and hello,

secondly i have been driving myself nuts with this stupid 2100 and i have read so many places on trying to unlock it with no sucsses till i found this forum now i have noticed when ppl are requesting an unlock code they are quoting an imei number , so how do i get mine from a nokia 2100 locked to optus in aus .

Hi fandtm666 welcome to the forums...

You could try this:

Enter *#06# into your phone where you usually enter phone numbers to call, and your IMEI number will be displayed on your phone.

Alternatively you can remove the back from your phone and look under the battery. The IMEI number is the International Mobile Equipment Identifier, a 15 digit number that uniquely identifies your mobile phone from others.
